The Biomedical Research Mentoring Program is run by the University of Cincinnati's Honors program that pairs 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students with a mentor in either UC College of Medicine or at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I applied and interviewed at four different labs before I accepted a position working in the Pan lab in experimental hematology at Cincinnati Children's. I purposed this experience as a honors experience and on February 12th, 2014 my proposal was accepted. Below is a link to that proposal.
This experience was truly a eye-opening experience. I am very grateful that I had the chance to do something like the experience that is documented here. Please click on the other tabs to see how I spent my semester in the lab.
